I've had a postcard of this painting up in my inspiration rack for quite some time over the years and was amazed by the original that's at the National Portrait Gallery  for only a few more days.

The cover and a spread from 'Family Day', a small book of Italian artist Maurizio Anzeri's work. I saw his work for the first time at the 'Photographic Object' exhibition at The Photographers' gallery. Beautiful and strange images created with embroidery on found photographs. It's on until June 14th.
